It's the time for us to celebrate what it means to be a Singaporean! The year long-awaited fireworks display, free-fall jumps (Red Lions), fighter jets performance, and parade are lined up for the celebration. However, NDP is postponed to 21 August 2021 (Sat) while the ceremonial parade will still be on the usual date, 9 August 2021.
If you're at a loss, here are some exciting things you can do this National Day weekend and in the month of August! 😊

2. Have a sing-a-long session to the NDP songs! 🎶
Sing your lungs out to the classic and iconic NDP theme songs such as Home, Where I Belong, Reach Out For The Skies, and many more!
This year's theme song, titled "The Road Ahead", is written and composed by Linying and Evan Low. It wishes to encourage Singaporeans to count on one another in these challenging times. As the song goes, "Come whatever on the road ahead. We did it before, and we'll do it again!"

3. Watch the National Day Parade!

The NDP is moving back to The Float @ Marina Bay, but with fewer participants and spectators. This is to ensure that safe management measures are adhered to, especially with the recent tightening of community activities. All participants and spectators need to be fully vaccinated and instead of having a public ballot, viewing is on a by-invite-only basis, reserved for frontline and essential workers. Kudos and salutes to the everyday heroes for their unwavering dedication during this challenging time!
NDP 2021 is designed with the home viewer in mind where you can participate and join the parade virtually.

How about the fireworks display? This year got fireworks or not ah? 🎆🤔

As some of you may have heard, the previously announced heartland fireworks and Red Lion displays on 7 & 8 August are cancelled in light of the new restrictions. However, we are expecting fireworks display in certain residential areas on the 21 August (fingers crossed! 🤞🏻). More details will be released at a later date, so keep a look out!
Note: As quoted by Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen, we should play our part and watch any displays from our homes~
